Senior Platform Engineer – AWS Focus

Role Overview:

We are looking for Senior Platform Engineer to design, engineer, and evolve AWS cloud and hybrid-cloud ecosystems as a reusable enterprise portfolio of products.

The role focuses on creating secure, cloud-native capabilities that enable AI teams to build, evaluate, and operate applications and agents on AWS without recreating infrastructure, integration, or operational controls. The position also emphasizes AI service operationalization, security, and FinOps-driven cloud cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

AWS Platform Engineering

• Design reusable AWS AI platform services, products, contracts, and tenancy patterns.
• Architect and deploy production-ready AWS environments using a landing-zone approach.
• Deploy, scale, and manage AWS AI/ML services including:
  • Amazon Bedrock
  • SageMaker
  • Rekognition
  • Textract
  • Lookout

Infrastructure & Automation

• Standardize deployments using Terraform.
• Build versioned Terraform modules, platform APIs, SDKs, automated validation, and release management.
• Engineer runtime patterns using:
  • EKS
  • Lambda
  • Containers
  • EventBridge
  • Queues
  • Streams
  • Workflow services

Security & API Management

• Implement least-privilege IAM, workload identity, secrets management, encryption, and private VPC connectivity.
• Automate security controls, evidence, and policy enforcement within delivery pipelines.
• Design secure service-to-service and cross-account access patterns.
• Manage API lifecycles using AWS API Gateway and Kong.

CI/CD & FinOps

• Design automated GitHub Workflows for infrastructure and application CI/CD.
• Provide self-service onboarding, templates, documentation, reference services, and paved-road engineering patterns.
• Analyze cloud SKUs and implement monitoring and alerting to prevent budget overruns.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in the AWS ecosystem.
• Expert-level Terraform skills.
• Deep expertise in:
  • Amazon Bedrock
  • EKS
  • Lambda
  • EventBridge
  • API Gateway
  • IAM
  • VPC
  • CloudWatch
• Direct experience with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Expert knowledge of VPC design, subnetting, Route 53, and Direct Connect.
• Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway or Kong.
• Strong Cloud Architecture and Solution Architecture capabilities.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and Terraform.
