Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager with a minimum of 15 years of experience in residential construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, cost control, and overall coordination, along with overseeing QS department activities. The role requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and expertise in project management tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, monitor, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera (P6) / MS Project
- Develop baseline schedules, track progress, and ensure timely project delivery
- Identify project risks, delays, and implement mitigation strategies
- Take ownership of project timelines and address schedule deviations
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants for smooth execution
- Oversee and manage the complete activities of the QS (Quantity Surveying) department
- Ensure accurate BOQ preparation, billing, and certification processes
- Monitor project costs, budgeting, and cost control measures
- Conduct waste analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Handle contractor billing, negotiations, and dispute resolution
- Prepare and present MIS reports, dashboards, and progress updates to management
- Ensure proper allocation and tracking of shared resources across projects
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and execution processes
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Advanced knowledge of BOQ preparation and billing processes
- Strong cost control and budgeting capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership abilities with experience in team handling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech / BE)
- Additional certifications in Project Management / Primavera will be an added advantage
Experience:
