Key Responsibilities
Phase Activities / Responsibilities
1) Initiation / Design & Engineering
Define scope & deliverables.
Develop baseline schedule and engineering deliverables schedule.
Create WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
Identify long lead items, procurement path, equipment delivery schedule.
Coordinate with design / engineering disciplines for deliverables, dependencies.
2) Procurement
Prepare procurement schedule (vendor selection, PO placement, material delivery, inspections).
Ensure alignment between procurement and construction in materials lead times.
Monitor delivery times, highlight critical items.
3) Construction / Execution
Develop detailed construction schedule, resource loading (manpower, equipment).
Monitor progress, compare actual vs. planned.
Identify deviations / delays, perform delay / impact analysis.
Propose corrective / recovery plans.
Maintain look-ahead schedules (weekly, biweekly).
Ensure interdisciplinary coordination (contractors, vendors, engineering).
4) Project Controls / Reporting
Maintain baseline & update schedules.
Prepare periodic reports: daily / weekly / monthly.
Provide forecast for finish dates, resource usage.
Risk analysis & mitigation planning (schedule risks).
5) Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with All Contractor at site.
Assist in meetings, clarify schedule interfaces.
Communicate schedule status, highlight critical paths, emphasize interfaces.
