Senior Planning Engineer - Oil & Gas

Role Description

Minimum 8 years of experience required.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Planning Engineer / Techno-Functional Consultant – Project Controls based in Kochi for a major oil and gas project. The role involves project planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting,dash-boarding, coordination with stakeholders, and supporting digital project control systems

within the organisation.

The candidate will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO), engineering teams,

IT teams, contractors, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure effective project execution,

reporting, and governance.

The selected candidate will manage and oversee project planning, production scheduling, and project control tasks. Responsibilities include analysing project data, optimising workflows, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with project objectives. The role requires the ability to balance technical and functional requirements for effective project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and project planning tools.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and identify risks or delays.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and project performance reports for management review.
• Track project KPIs, resource utilization, cost, and schedule variances.
• Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools.
• Coordinate with PMO, engineering, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Support project governance, reporting standards, and issue escalation management.
• Provide techno-functional support for project control systems and reporting solutions.
• Manage project documentation, data collation, and interface coordination activities.
• Collaborate with business users to understand operational and reporting requirements.
