Job Description

This is a full time role with our global manufacturing client with headquarters in Denmark.

Job locations - Navi Mumbai, Chennai

Purpose

This position is to aid the develop and manage comprehensive Tender / Project plans and reports to ensure timely and successful tender submissions / project completion. Ensure smooth execution of project through proper Project Planning, and Monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Create Tender / Project Plan meeting Tender & Project requirements coordinating with all Tender & Project Stakeholders
  • Escalate and resolve any Planning clashes
  • Improve processes and tools

Primary tasks-

  • Guide and Train Associate/Junior Planners.
  • Identify the Tender & Projects requirements.
  • Support and input to the Tender Team in the tender phase (ex. RFQ analysis of requirements of planning and reporting).
  • Assist the responsible planner in retrieving information and creating the BAFO schedule during tender stage.
  • Assist the responsible planner in retrieving information and updating the Project schedule during execution.
  • Attend tender negotiations with the Clients
  • Develop and detail the Project Schedule both in Tender and in Execution in accordance with the company's Planning Standards and contractual requirements.
  • Support C&T in all planning aspects of tenders and support project team in all planning aspects of projects.
  • Support in creating documentation required for tender approval and customer submissions including internal time risk allowance analysis.
  • Lead planning negotiations with clients both in tender and execution phase
  • Revising and comment planning and reporting contract requirements during client negotiations
  • Develop, implement and maintain procedures, means and tools to ensure the efficient organization and operation of the scheduling, progress control and reporting activities across the Project.
  • Customize as necessary the Project Work Breakdown Structure to comply with the Tender / Project needs and Company standard in terms of progress control and reporting.
  • Collect data and specifications necessary to compile long and short-term activity plans.
  • Develop, update and revise the overall integrated Project Schedules as required by Contract and Company standard, using specific planning software/systems.
  • To provide analysis and simulations of the schedules as required.
  • Identify/highlight planning clashes or interfaces and works with the team to resolve possible issues.
  • Coordinate schedule from multiple sub-contractors / vendors and incorporate the information gathered into the overall project master schedule.
  • Assign all proper resources (if available) on the schedule according to the needs of every project; managing the workload.
  • Investigate alternatives to optimize the use resources/capacity/machines during tender planning.
  • Communicate with Master Planners regarding opportunities/risks.
  • Prepare required reports in accordance with Tender / Project requirement and Company standard for Client, C&T, Project Team and Management.
  • Support in monitoring of the Contract and assisting the Project Management by analysing actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators and suggesting recommended action.
  • Participate in meetings with the Client, Project Team, Partners, Authorities and other Stakeholders as required.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis (gather data, input data, analyse, report) on a periodic basis or as required.
  • Preparation Project Closing Reports and Lesson Learn report.

Education-

Engineering degree in any discipline

PMP certification would be an added advantage

Experience-

5+ years of industrial experience in Project Planning preferably in Cable / Oil & Gas / Piping / Offshore Industry / EPC / Large infra / Civil, construction / Engineering space.

IT Skills

Primavera P6 is a must have skill.

Oracle Risk Analysis knowledge, preferred.

Travelling

1 -2 months to Sweden, as part of onboarding and as required, thereafter

may be required to visit Site onshore/offshore occasionally to complete planning reviews.
