NOVARGI Indian branch, an Indian established company belonging to the International Group NOVARGI, is currently seeking an Senior Piping Stress Engineer to join our Indian team based in GURGAON offices.

NOVARGI PUNE branch, is mainly focused on Detail Engineering activities for the whole group and Project management activities.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Piping Stress Engineer, you will be a pivotal technical authority within our EPC projects in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

Reporting to the piping Lead in India, you will harness your 5 years of experience to ensure piping integrity, safety, and compliance from concept through execution.

What You'll Do

  • Execute piping system stress analyses using CAESAR II, evaluating operational stresses from thermal, pressure, vibration, and seismic loads.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to review, assess, and enhance piping layouts.
  • Perform pipe flexibility and nozzle displacement calculations to ensure system integrity under varying conditions.
  • Identify stress hotspots and recommend modificationsrouting, supports, or flexibility solutions.
  • Produce detailed Stress Analysis Reports, annotated isometrics, StressCritical Line Lists, and Piping Load Summaries.
  • Coordinate with Civil/Structural teamsproviding load data for foundation and support designs.
  • Prepare and review datasheets, RFQs/MRs, TBAs, and vendor documents for supports (e.g., spring hangers).
  • Participate in on-site reviews, construction support, and maintenance verifications.
  • Stay updated with applicable codes, best practices, and industry standards.

Must-Have Technical Skills

  • Expert-level experience with CAESAR II for static piping.
  • Solid knowledge of ASME B31.3/ B31.1, ANSI, API, and stress-related standards.
  • Proficient in flange leakage, nozzle stiffness, and spring hanger design.
  • Experience in buried piping stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks or similar tools for 3D model navigation.
  • Strong report writing, documentation skills, and fluency in English.

Desirable Expertise

  • WRC flexibility/formulation calculations.
  • Nozzle stress evaluation tools (e.g., NozzlePro).
  • Stress analysis of non-metallic piping (e.g., GRP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and multicultural team coordination.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Around 5 years experience in piping stress analysis within EPC, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
  • Proven record delivering CAESAR II-based stress reports.
  • Excellent analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance teams.
  • Able to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
