Job Purpose:
As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will lead and support piping design and engineering activities for complex multidisciplinary projects. You will ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery of piping systems in compliance with international codes, client specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute piping engineering activities in all project phases (FEED, Basic, Detail Engineering, and EPCM).
- Prepare and review piping design documents: PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics, MTOs, layouts, and support details.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes (ASME, API, EN, ISO), standards, and client requirements.
- Involve direct stress analysis, pipe routing, material specification, and support design.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, process, E&I) and project stakeholders.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and client meetings.
- Support procurement and construction activities including technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and site clarifications.
- Monitor project progress, manage technical risks, and report to project management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in piping engineering, preferably within industrial or oil & gas sectors.
- Proficiency/Command in design software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, E3D, Caesar II, Navisworks, etc.)
- Solid understanding of piping materials, specifications, and stress analysis.
- Knowledge of international design codes and practices.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EPCM project execution and modular design.
- Previous experience in a consultancy or engineering services environment.
