We are looking for a Senior Pipeline & Deployment Engineer (On-Prem) to support enterprise-scale software deployment, packaging, and release execution across large manufacturing environments. This role is focused on COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and custom software delivery within a 100% on-prem infrastructure landscape, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient deployments across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support end-to-end deployment of COTS and custom-built enterprise applications across on-prem server environments.
- Manage software packaging, release validation, deployment readiness, rollback planning, and production support across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and enterprise deployment tools to improve deployment speed, stability, and consistency.
- Automate deployment workflows using Ansible, AWX, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code practices where applicable.
- Support server-based delivery models, including Windows Server, IIS-hosted applications, Windows Services, scheduled jobs, middleware deployments, and multi-tier enterprise architectures.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application support, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment execution and release governance.
- Support SQL Server environments, including deployment readiness, backup/recovery coordination, and release validation activities.
- Ensure deployment compliance, change management, and controlled release execution within enterprise production environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures, environment issues, and release blockers while minimizing downtime and ensuring production stability.
- Partner with internal deployment and pipeline teams to modernize and improve existing on-prem deployment processes and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Build & Deployment, or Infrastructure Deployment roles within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting on-prem application deployments and enterprise release management.
- Experience in packaging and deploying both COTS and custom enterprise applications.
- Strong expertise with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline design, and deployment automation.
- Strong experience with Ansible, AWX, scripting, and deployment orchestration.
- Experience supporting .NET / .NET Core application deployments and Windows server-based delivery environments.
- Good understanding of SQL Server environments and deployment coordination.
- Strong knowledge of controlled release environments, rollback planning, deployment governance, and production support.
- Experience working across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing, plant, automotive, or industrial deployment environments.
- Familiarity with Rockwell environments or similar enterprise deployment models.
- Exposure to Buildfarm, CyberArk, and enterprise identity/access controls.
- Limited AWS or hybrid infrastructure exposure is a plus, but this is not a cloud-first role.
