Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to design, develop, and optimize our enterprise SaaS platform. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks (preferably CakePHP).
- Build and support RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile delivery processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- 5-6+ years of software development experience across the full SDLC.
- Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, OOP, LAMP stack, and enterprise application development.
- Experience with CakePHP or similar MVC frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Bootstrap, Twig, or Vite.
- Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS).
- Life Sciences or Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
- Exposure to React Native, Flutter, or iOS development.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Git.
- Technical documentation and SOP development skills.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to support EST, CST, or IST business hours as required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
