We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer who is highly self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about clean, scalable code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, especially with PHP (preferably Laravel or similar frameworks), and be confident in mentoring junior developers. A deep understanding of database architecture and optimization is essential for this role.

Job Summary:

A deep understanding of database architecture and optimization is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PHP applications.
2. Lead and guide junior developers through code reviews, best practices, and mentorship.
3. Optimize and troubleshoot database queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL), structures, and performance bottlenecks.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
5. Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems.
6. Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
7. Participate in system architecture planning and decision-making.
8. Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment.

Mandatory Skills:

1. 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
2. Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
3. Proven experience in database optimization, query tuning, and schema design.
4. Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
5. Experience mentoring or leading junior developers.
6. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development.
7. Self-driven with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
8. Good communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
2. Exposure to Docker and containerized environments.
3. Frontend experience (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
