Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong expertise in developing, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PHP, DB2 databases, SQL optimization, REST APIs, and legacy application modernization. Experience working with IBM i (AS/400) environments will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based enterprise applications.
• Integrate PHP applications with IBM DB2 databases and optimize database interactions.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Maintain and modernize legacy enterprise applications while ensuring system stability.
• Analyze production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
• Strong experience integrating PHP applications with IBM DB2 databases.
• Exposure to IBM i (AS/400) environments is highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience with REST API development and third-party API integrations.
• Proven experience maintaining and modernizing legacy enterprise applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or similar).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns.
