Senior Performance Tester

Hybrid (3 days a week)

This role plays a critical part in assuring the quality and reliability of our software systems and

applications. People in this role have a robust Computer Science background and demonstrated

expertise enhancing software quality.

What You Do

• Contribute to the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to identify test requirements
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to validate the functionality of our software products
• Create comprehensive test plans and implement eective test strategies. Create test cases and test data based on functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify, analyze, and document software defects, and track their resolution in an issue tracking system
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements
• Work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and test automation
• Liaise with the product team to understand product changes and steer quality initiatives
• Provide support during the deployment and maintenance stages of the software development life cycle
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline,

or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with an emphasis on

automation testing

• Familiarity with AWS test environments
• Work experience performance testing distributed web applications, especially using Artillery
• (alternatively JMeter) with an emphasis on how to design effective performance tests (load &
• stress in terms of data & system resources) and how to implement & manage test run results,
• i.e. consumable reports across stakeholders
• Confident running effective meetings to collect performance considerations from software
• engineers & result requirements from product owners, i.e. business analysts
• Advanced scripting skills in JavaScript
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and database systems
• Solid grasp of version control systems like Git
• Comprehensive knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and best practices
• Proven ability to quickly learn & adapt independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills & attention to detail
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with

cross-functional teams

• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in test automation frameworks such as JEST for API or service call functional tests
• Proficiency with test automation tools such as Playwright for UI end-to-end functional tests
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and practices
• Experience with security testing considered an asset
• Knowledge of financial or accounting software preferred
