Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Test Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, with a particular emphasis on API Testing, Functional Testing, and Automation Testing. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for API, functional, and automation testing.
- Conduct thorough API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of web services.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Utilize automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to ensure testability of requirements.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, results, and defect metrics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testing team members.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in API Testing, including tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Proficient in Functional Testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with Automation Testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- In-depth knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its phases.
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
