Senior Performance Test Engineer
Team of approx. 10, reporting to Project manager
Location: Bangalore (Onsite, 4–5 days per week)
Education: BE/BTech/MTech
Primary Responsibilities
Perform performance testing, monitoring, and analysis for high-volume, transaction-oriented applications (retail e-commerce preferred).
Design and execute performance tests for microservices deployed on cloud IaaS platforms (AWS).
Utilize tools such as HP LoadRunner, JMeter, or SOASTA CloudTest for load and stress testing.
Conduct performance validation of batch jobs and messaging queues (Kafka, TIBCO).
Apply APM tools, primarily Dynatrace, optional (CA Wily, AppDynamics) for diagnostics, profiling, bottleneck identification, and root cause analysis.
Monitor and analyze application logs using Splunk, ELK, or similar platforms.
Integrate performance testing into Agile workflows and DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance metrics.
Recommend non-functional requirements (NFRs) based on product specifications and software requirements.
Collaborate with developers and project teams to resolve performance issues.
Communicate findings and escalate issues effectively to technical leads, managers, and executives.
Apply programming skills (Java, Python, UNIX shell scripting) to support test automation and analysis.
Required Experience
6–10 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and monitoring.
Retail e-commerce experience is preferred, or strong performance testing (engineering) skills in other domains suffice.
Strong background in cloud-based microservice architectures.
Proven expertise with performance testing tools, APM solutions, and log analysis platforms.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Solid programming and scripting skills for automation and diagnostics.
