Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, exits, and offboarding
- Ensure accuracy and timely maintenance of employee data in HRIS and employee records
- Partner with Payroll teams/vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, audits, and reconciliations
- Manage employee documentation such as contracts, addendums, background verification, and policy acknowledgements
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR operations, policies, benefits, and payroll
Compliance & Statutory Management
- Ensure adherence to Indian labor laws and statutory compliances, including but not limited to:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESI)
- Professional Tax (PT)
- Gratuity
- Shops & Establishments Act
- POSH compliance - Coordinate audits (internal, statutory, and external) and ensure timely submissions and closure of findings
- Maintain statutory registers, filings, and documentation as per legal requirements
- Track regulatory changes and support implementation of updates in policies and processes
Policy & Process Management
- Support drafting, updating, and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and guidelines aligned with local compliance and global standards
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvements in HR operations
- Support HR reporting and dashboards related to headcount, attrition, compliance, and operational metrics
Profile
Work Experience
- 6+ years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles, preferably within IT, digital, or technology-driven organizations
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance
- Hands‑on experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and employee data management
- Experience working with external vendors (payroll, compliance, benefits)
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving digital environment
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in MS Excel and HR reporting
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with People Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and Business Managers teams
- Assist during organizational changes, expansions, or system implementations
Additional Information
Education
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
