We are hiring a Senior Pega Developer – Customer Service (Constellation) for a client-facing role. This is an onsite opportunity based in Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Architecture: Lead the implementation of Pega Customer Service applications using the Constellation architecture, ensuring adherence to the Center-out business logic approach.
- UI/UX Modernisation: Configure and extend Constellation UI components (Views, Portals, and Dashboards) using App Studio, minimising custom CSS/HTML to maintain upgradeability.
- Service Case Management: Design and optimize service cases (e.g., Address Change, Dispute Transaction) using the Pega Customer Service framework, focusing on intent-driven task suggestions.
- Omni-channel Integration: Configure Digital Messaging interfaces for Web Messaging, WhatsApp, and SMS, ensuring seamless channel switching and persistent interaction context.
- AI & Automation: Implement Pega GenAI features, including real-time interaction summaries, suggested replies, and Knowledge Management enhancements.
- Integration: Develop and manage Data Pages and Integration Rules to connect with external REST/SOAP services, ensuring data is mapped correctly to the Constellation data model.
- Performance & Standards: Conduct guardrail reviews and ensure the application remains Constellation-compliant by avoiding unsupported UI-Kit or legacy rules.
Technical Qualifications
- Pega Experience: Minimum 5 years of Pega development experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on Constellation/Cosmos React architectures.
- Framework Knowledge: Expert-level proficiency in Pega Customer Service (v8.8+ or Infinity 24/25).
- UI Skills: Strong understanding of Constellation View-based UI, DX API, and how Pega interacts with React-based front ends.
- Messaging & Voice: Hands-on experience with Pega Call (CTI integration) and the Digital Messaging Manager.
- Data Modeling: Proficiency in designing thread-level and node-level Data Pages and utilising the Service-to-Interaction data mapping patterns.
Education & Certifications
- Required: Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) or Lead System Architect (PCLSA).
- Preferred: Pega Certified Customer Service Developer (latest version).
- Bonus: Experience with React.js or specialised training in Constellation Adoption.
Preferred Soft Skills
- Agile Mindset: Deep understanding of the Pega Express methodology.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to guide business stakeholders on when to use out-of-the-box (OOTB) Constellation features versus custom extensions.
- Communication: Strong ability to translate complex technical constraints (like Constellation's configuration-first approach) into business-friendly language.
