Job Purpose
As a member of the
Global Peer Review Team based in our Delhi and Dehradun offices, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of peer review systems for Sage journals. This position involves close collaboration with global peer review and research pillar staff to deliver system support and training to internal and external users. You will assist editors and administrators with system training, fulfill administrative requests, and support the configuration of peer review sites under moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain expertise in ScholarOne configuration to optimize system performance.
- Respond to and resolve Sage Track configuration requests from journal editors and Sage staff.
- Provide clear, accurate instructional and troubleshooting guidance on Sage's peer review systems to editors, administrators, and internal teams.
- Conduct web-based training sessions and demos for internal and external journal editors on proper system usage.
- Liaise with Scholar One support staff to resolve system-related issues effectively.
- Collaborate with journal editorial offices to configure sites and advise on best practices, with managerial support.
- Work closely with the Global Research Pillar to streamline peer review processes.
- Ensure timely responses to system-related requests, meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist the Peer Review Supervisor with projects and activities related to editorial and peer review workflows.
- Generate and analyze Sage Track reports to support decision-making and process improvements.
Key Accountabilities
- Keep stakeholders informed about vacation schedules, Sage holidays, and any planned absences.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with editors and Sage US/UK departments.
- Take a solution-oriented approach to resolve system support issues.
- Participate in meetings as required, fostering strong working relationships. Note: Some meetings may occur outside standard hours to accommodate global time zones.
- Inform your supervisor promptly about any tense or volatile communication from stakeholders, and share positive feedback received.

- Contribute ideas and feedback to the team in a constructive manner.
- Provide support to other teams as needed, as directed by your supervisor.
- Undertake additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience: 24 years in journal publishing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Sage's peer review systems, particularly Scholar One, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Helpdesk tool like (for example: Freshdesk, Halo etc.) and ability to develop proficiency in its use is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer support.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
