The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore's national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage and execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing accurately and within stipulated timelines.
- Ensure payroll transactions, including salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, incentives, deductions, and final payments, are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Administer payroll-related submissions including CPF, IRAS filings, NS claims, Government-Paid Leave claims, and other statutory requirements.
- Handle payroll enquiries professionally and provide timely advice on payroll, compensation, benefits, and statutory matters.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly payroll reports for management review.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure payroll costs and related expenses are accurately captured and reconciled in the monthly accounts.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, supporting documentation, and audit trails while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy of personal, employment, and compensation data.
- Process employee leave applications and ensure leave records are updated accurately and maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Manage IR21 tax clearance submissions for foreign employees.
- Attend to employee enquiries on payroll, leave administration, and other HR-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
Reporting, Analytics & Management Support
- Consolidate, analyse, and interpret payroll, headcount, leave, and workforce data to support decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc HR and payroll reports, dashboards, and metrics for management review.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act, CPF regulations, IRAS requirements, MOM regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in payroll and HR process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Support payroll audits and ensure strong governance and internal controls are maintained.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant payroll experience, preferably in a medium to large organisation.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll independently with a strong understanding of Singapore payroll practices and statutory requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of Prosoft Unit4 HRMS for payroll processing and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of CPF, IRAS regulations, Employment Act, MOM regulations, work passes, IR21 processing, and government-paid leave schemes.
- Highly meticulous with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy when handling payroll and employee data.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with large volumes of data and figures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data validation, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to sort, consolidate, reconcile, and analyse large datasets efficiently and accurately.
- Experienced in preparing payroll reports, headcount analysis, manpower statistics, and workforce-related metrics.
- Proactive, resourceful, and capable of identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential employee and payroll information.
