Macro Role:

As a Chartered Accountant Sr. Partner, you'll spearhead positive relationships with both clients & teams, and growth of Deal Advisory and M&A Tax Practice of the Firm. This role carries full accountability for origination, execution and delivery across a portfolio of mandates — spanning mergers and acquisitions, transaction tax and regulatory advisory, investment banking mandates.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deal Advisory: Lead end-to-end advisory on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, management buyouts, carve-outs, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.Oversee transaction structuring, deal negotiation strategy and documentation coordination across legal, financial and regulatory workstreams.Direct deal project management, coordinating internal teams and external advisors (legal counsel, auditors) to deliver on timeline and quality.
  • M&A Tax & Regulatory Advisory: Provide strategic guidance on transaction structuring, corporate restructuring which would cover income tax, GST, stamp duty, FEMA, accounting, SEBI, Companies Act and other considerations in domestic and cross-border transactions.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead and mentor a team of specialists, ensuring they deliver exceptional service through guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Risk Management & Quality Control: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the tax, regulatory matters etc, implementing best practices of highest quality to ensure compliance and minimize liabilities.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Uphold the highest ethical standards and regulatory compliance in all client engagements and firm activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with minimum 15 years of progressive experience in deal advisory, transaction advisory and M&A Tax.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently originating and executing high-value M&A and advisory mandates.
  • Significant experience in leading transaction tax structuring, corporate restructuring and regulatory advisory.
  • Experience managing external stakeholders including legal counsel, regulators, auditors, etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills for presenting complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and high-quality service delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire & guide teams. Persistent and persuasive in driving goals to completion.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
