Description Role Summary
The Mid-Senior Palantir Developer is a skilled, independent developer who excels at creating sophisticated, data-driven applications. This role leads the design and construction of complex Workshop applications while also owning the underlying data pipelines and models that power them. You will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of high-impact solutions, from backend data integration to the final user interface.
Responsibilities
- Application Development (Workshop):
- Independently design, build, and deploy dynamic and interactive applications using Workshop, including multi-page workflows and detailed object views.
- Architect and implement sophisticated front-end logic and user-driven actions that leverage the full power of the Foundry platform.
- Translate complex business requirements directly into functional, high-performing Workshop prototypes and finished applications.
- Optimize Workshop applications for performance, ensuring a responsive and efficient user experience.
- Data Engineering & Backend Development:
- Design, develop, and optimize robust end-to-end data pipelines in Foundry using Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL.
- Design and implement the Foundry Ontology, defining the objects, properties, and links that form the semantic backbone of your applications.
- Ensure high standards of data quality and pipeline reliability through rigorous testing, monitoring, and optimization.
- Mentor junior developers on best practices for both application and pipeline development.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience, with at least 1-2 years of proven, hands-on experience building end-to-end solutions in Palantir Foundry.
- Application Development Expertise: Proven, deep experience building complex applications in Workshop. Strong Typescript skills are required for custom logic and functions.
- Backend & Data Engineering Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for complex data transformations. Advanced SQL skills. Proven experience with Ontology and Pipeline Builder.
- Application Design: A strong portfolio or demonstrated experience in designing and building user-facing data applications.
