Role Description The Senior Packaging Artist – Packshot is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, Tamilnadu. This role involves creating high-quality, accurate packshot artwork for print and digital use, ensuring all packaging visuals align with brand guidelines and technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with packaging designers and engineers, preparing print-ready files, reviewing proofs, and refining artwork based on feedback from internal teams and clients. The Senior Packaging Artist will work closely with quality and production teams to ensure color consistency, regulatory compliance, and optimal shelf impact for all packaging assets. The role may also involve researching market trends, contributing to packaging innovation, and mentoring junior artists on best practices and workflow standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Packaging Design and packshot creation, with the ability to translate brand concepts into accurate, print-ready artwork.
• Practical experience in Packing processes and Packaging Engineering, including understanding of materials, dielines, and production constraints.
• Proficiency in Quality Control for packaging artwork, ensuring consistency, technical accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and brand standards.
• Ability to conduct Research on packaging trends, consumer visual preferences, and competitive designs to inform creative decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with prepress workflows.
• Strong attention to detail, color management knowledge, and experience working with printers and suppliers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant education in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, and prior experience in a senior packaging or artwork role.
