We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Functional Consultant to join our team in a specialist capacity within a fast-paced Fintech environment. This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology and business transformation — requiring someone who can assess project-level changes, determine their financial impact and translate complex findings into clear, concise, business-ready documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Commerce, Finance and Integration to ensure that project initiatives are assessed for financial implications early and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Review new and ongoing Commerce project initiatives to evaluate whether they carry a finance system or accounting impact
- Conduct a structured analysis covering revenue recognition, tax treatment, billing and/or intercompany considerations where a financial impact is identified
- Produce clear, concise one-page business summaries for each impacted initiative, enabling non-technical stakeholders to understand the financial implications and required actions
- Apply hands-on Oracle Fusion knowledge to assess downstream impacts on GL, AR, AP or related modules resulting from Commerce changes
- Partner with integration teams to understand data flows and system-level changes that may trigger finance impacts
- Present findings to Finance leads and business owners in a structured, professional manner, highlighting risks, dependencies and recommended next steps
- Contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives by bringing experience from prior complex programs and applying best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance systems, finance operations or ERP implementation/support roles within complex organizations
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials including modules such as AR, AP, Tax and Revenue Management, with ability to assess configuration and process impacts independently
- Background in complex and large-scale transformation programs including system migrations, re-platforming or major process redesign with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Demonstrated capability to assess project initiatives for finance impact, understanding the accounting, reporting and compliance consequences
- Proven documentation skills to distill complex technical and financial findings into concise, business-friendly one-pagers and executive summaries
- Experience working with integration teams, comfortable reviewing integration designs, data flows and API/file-based interfaces to identify finance touchpoints
- Familiarity with Fintech or SaaS environments including subscription billing, revenue recognition complexity or high-volume transaction environments
Nice to have
- Exposure to RevPro or similar revenue recognition automation tools, with understanding of how revenue schedules, performance obligations and contract modifications are managed
- Familiarity with Avalara AvaTax, including how tax determination integrates with billing and ERP systems and common pain points in tax compliance for SaaS/Fintech
- Experience with Commerce or Order-to-Cash processes, understanding how pricing, quoting and ordering decisions flow through to finance systems
- Capability to onboard quickly and work independently, delivering results with minimal ramp-up time in a fast-moving environment
