We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator with 9+ years of hands-on experience in managing large-scale, mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Oracle architecture along with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to database reliability, performance, and automation.
Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security
Administer and support complex Oracle architectures including RAC, Data Guard, and replication setups
Design and implement partitioning strategies for large datasets to improve performance and manageability
Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime
Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive health checks
Handle P1/P2 production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
Automate routine DBA activities using Shell and/or Python scripting
Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and ensure data integrity
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployment and environment readiness
Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
You're the right fit if:
Strong understanding of Oracle Database Architecture (11g/12c/19c or higher)
Hands-on experience with:
Oracle RAC
Data Guard (Physical/Logical standby)
Replication technologies
Partitioning and large database management
Expertise in database upgrade, patching (PSU/RU), and migration strategies
Proficiency in Shell scripting and/or Python for automation
Solid experience in performance tuning (SQL, instance, and system level)
Strong troubleshooting skills for critical production issues (P1/P2 support)
Experience with backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning
Good to Have:
Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI/AWS/Azure)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with monitoring tools and alerting frameworks
Additional Expectations:
Understanding of product testing strategies, including validation of database changes, performance benchmarking, and release readiness checks
Ability to work in high-pressure environments with strong ownership and accountability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
