Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle databases and hands-on exposure to NoSQL technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, automating, and optimizing production database environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Must Have Skills & Experience:

• Overall 6+ years of IT experience with at least:
  
• 4+ years in database engineering, administration, and support
  
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA
  
• Strong experience administering databases including:
  
• Oracle, Cassandra, MySQL, SQL
  
• Proven expertise in Oracle DB administration within production environments
  
• Hands-on NoSQL experience, covering:
  
• Evaluation of new frameworks
  
• Cluster deployment and maintenance
  
• Performance tuning and optimization
  
• Mandatory experience with automation and infrastructure tools:
  
• Ansible
  
• Terraform
  
• Solid understanding of the SQL and NoSQL database ecosystem and related frameworks
  
• Strong expertise in Linux systems and basic network maintenance
  
• Proficiency in scripting languages, including:
  
• Python
  
• Shell scripting
  
• Perl
  
• Strong SQL querying, optimization, and performance tuning skills
  

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, manage, and support Oracle and NoSQL databases in production
  
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and security
  
• Implement automation using Ansible and Terraform for database and infrastructure operations
  
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
  
• Troubleshoot complex database, OS, and network-related issues
  
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
  
• Ensure compliance with operational and security standards
  

Preferred / Good to Have:

• Experience with database clustering, replication, and high-availability setups
  
• Exposure to cloud-based database platforms
  
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-traffic systems
  
• On-call or production support experience
