Role Summary
The Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting technical solutions on Oracle Fusion Cloud. The role focuses on extensions, integrations, reports, data migration, and security, ensuring scalable, secure, and upgrade-safe solutions aligned with Oracle standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Development
Design and develop Fusion Cloud extensions using Oracle-recommended tools and frameworks.
Build and maintain BI Publisher reports and OTBI custom subject areas.
Develop VBCS applications and OCI-based extensions.
Integrations
Design and implement integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and File-Based Data Import (FBDI).
Integrate Fusion with HIS systems, on-prem systems, third-party applications, and banking/payment gateways.
Support real-time, batch, and event-based integrations.
Data Migration & Conversion
Design and execute data migration strategies for GL balances, suppliers, customers, assets, and transactions.
Use tools such as FBDI, ADFdi, and spreadsheet loaders.
Validate data accuracy and support reconciliation.
Security & Access Management
Configure and manage roles, privileges, data security policies, duty roles, and job roles.
Support Segregation of Duties (SoD) and audit compliance.
Integrate Fusion Security with OCI IAM / IDCS or enterprise identity providers.
Environment & Release Management
Support environment management across DEV / UAT / PROD.
Perform impact analysis for Oracle quarterly updates.
Conduct regression testing and compatibility assessments.
Maintain technical documentation and deployment standards.
Support & Optimization
Provide post-go-live technical support and issue resolution.
Monitor performance and optimize integrations and reports.
Troubleshoot Fusion Cloud technical issues and coordinate with Oracle Support (SRs).
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud technical components.
Hands-on expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, OTBI, REST/SOAP services, FBDI, and ADFdi.
Experience with OCI services (Compute, Object Storage, VBCS).
Fusion Knowledge
Understanding of Fusion Cloud architecture and extensibility framework.
Experience with Financials, Procurement, and SCM integrations.
Knowledge of Oracle-recommended upgrade-safe customization practices.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with functional consultants and business users.
Clear documentation and communication skills.
Experience in agile and waterfall delivery models.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical certification (preferred).
Nice to Have
Experience in regulated industries (Banking, Healthcare, Government).
