Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-level APEX applications that serve global Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and cloud-based integrations, along with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-enabled applications integrated with Oracle Fusion and other enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance Oracle APEX applications, including dashboards, workflows, approval modules, and user interfaces.
- Integrate APEX solutions with Oracle Fusion Cloud, BI Publisher, REST services, ORDS, and other internal/external systems.
- Develop and optimise PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and backend logic to support complex business processes.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and participate in code reviews.
- Ensure adherence to organisational security, audit, and data governance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across APEX components, PL/SQL logic, and integrations.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Collaborate closely with global technical and functional teams across Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle Database environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of total IT experience, with 4+ years of hands-on Oracle APEX development (APEX must have been the primary responsibility for the past 3 years).
- Strong expertise in developing enterprise applications using Oracle APEX / APEX Cloud (v20latest).
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (minimum 2+ years), including performance tuning and backend development.
- Strong UI development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and APEX Dynamic Actions (minimum 1 year).
- Solid knowledge of Oracle Database / ATP Cloud DB, REST APIs, ORDS, JSON, XML, and system integrations (mandatory).
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials / Procurement REST services and data models (preferred, not mandatory).
- Experience with database design, indexing, and performance optimisation involving large datasets.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, handle end-to-end delivery, and collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced remote work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
