Senior OPT Recruiter – US IT Staffing

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented OPT Recruiter with proven experience in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding OPT/CPT, H1B Transfer, Green Card, US Citizen, and other work-authorized consultants for the US IT Staffing industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong candidate networking capabilities, a solid database of OPT candidates, excellent relationship-building skills, and extensive knowledge of US immigration and employment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit OPT/CPT, H1B Transfer, Green Card, US Citizen, and other eligible consultants for internal hiring and client requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of recent graduates and IT professionals through job portals, universities, LinkedIn, referrals, and professional networks.
- Develop relationships with universities, student communities, and recent Master's graduates across the United States.
- Actively engage and encourage qualified OPT/CPT candidates to join the organization.
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating, onboarding, and follow-up.
- Maintain and regularly update candidate databases, talent pools, and recruitment trackers.
- Conduct detailed resume screening and candidate assessments to evaluate technical skills, qualifications, work authorization status, and project readiness.
- Source H1B Transfer and Project Transfer candidates through various recruiting channels and professional networks.
- Explain employment terms, compensation structures, benefits, relocation assistance, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
- Coordinate documentation, onboarding processes, and visa-related requirements.
- Build long-term relationships with consultants and maintain regular communication throughout their employment lifecycle.
- Stay current with US immigration policies, OPT/CPT regulations, H1B transfer processes, and industry hiring trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in OPT Recruitment, US IT Staffing, or Talent Acquisition.
- Proven experience recruiting OPT/CPT, H1B Transfer, Green Card, and US Citizen consultants.
- Hands-on experience using job portals such as Dice, LinkedIn Recruiter, Monster, CareerBuilder, and other sourcing platforms.
- Strong database and network of OPT/CPT candidates across US universities.
- Excellent sourcing, screening, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong understanding of US work authorization categories and immigration processes.
- Experience negotiating compensation packages, employment terms, and consultant benefits.
- Knowledge of visa filing processes, employment documentation, and contract terms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and meet hiring targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
