About the Role

The Senior Operations Specialist – Payments plays a pivotal role within the Central Operations team, supporting the Credit Operations function in the disbursal and booking of retail loans. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including releasing payments to Urban and Rural retail asset customers, managing Inventory Funding, handling Pre-Disbursal Cancellations, maintaining master data (such as pin codes, cities, and states), linking loans in the FinnOne system, empaneling DSAs/Dealers, and overseeing their payouts. The position also involves driving process improvements, automation, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end loan disbursal (booking), payments, and post-disbursal activities for all retail products.
  • Ensure thorough understanding and execution of loan documentation across various products.
  • Drive quality standards and SLA adherence within the unit.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Lead initiatives focused on automation and digitization to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT).
  • Uphold the organization's code of conduct and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Take ownership of process improvements and recommend best practices to enhance operational performance.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain various MIS reports.
  • Coordinate daily with branches and CPAs for issue resolution.
  • Draft Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for processes requiring automation.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system implementations or modifications to existing functionalities.

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business, Product, Customer Service, Credit, Technology, Analytics, and Risk teams to ensure seamless business operations.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduation: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Post-Graduation: Postgraduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in loan disbursal, payments, or related operations.

Skills and Attributes

  • In-depth knowledge of retail loan processes and documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage and improve operational quality and meet SLAs.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting BRDs and participating in UAT processes.
  • Strong focus on automation, digitization, and continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity with systems like FinnOne is an advantage.
