Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Okta IGA/IAM Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Okta Identity Cloud, Okta Identity Governance (OIG), Okta Workflows, IAM lifecycle management, and enterprise application integrations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, integrating, automating, and supporting Okta IAM solutions while working closely with Solution Architects, project teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Okta Universal Directory, Profile Editor, Profile Mappings, Group Rules, and Identity Lifecycle Management.
- Implement Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes using manual onboarding, CSV imports, and HR integrations.
- Configure MFA, authentication policies, sign-on policies, password policies, RBAC, and security controls.
- Develop and maintain Okta Workflows for lifecycle automation, approvals, notifications, and operational processes.
- Configure Okta Identity Governance (OIG) including:
- Access Requests
- Resource Catalogs
- Access Certifications
- Approval and Reviewer Chains
- Integrate enterprise applications using SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM.
- Configure and manage Org2Org Federation, Identity Providers (IdPs), and trust relationships.
- Develop and manage Event Hooks, Inline Hooks, and REST API integrations.
- Build reusable custom connectors using Java, Python, Okta SDKs, and REST APIs.
- Participate in technical design discussions and solution reviews with architects.
- Support configuration promotion between Preview and Production environments.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, SIT/UAT, production deployment, and Hypercare activities.
- Troubleshoot Okta/IAM issues and provide technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and perform technical reviews.
- Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, runbooks, and KT documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, project teams, business stakeholders, and security teams.
