We are looking for a Senior ODI & OCA Engineer to design and build high-performance data architectures. In this role, you will be the technical engine behind our data movement and visualization layers. You will be the subject matter expert responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines using OCI Data Integration (OCI-DI), while delivering actionable insights through Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
The ideal candidate is a technical powerhouse who understands the nuances of ELT/ETL architecture and can translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilties
Development & Integration:
- Develop and optimize complex ELT/ETL mappings and procedures using ODI (on-premise or marketplace).
- Build cloud-native data pipelines using OCI Data Integration to move high-volume data into Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
- Maintain and enhance existing data flows, ensuring zero-downtime and high data quality.
Analytics & Modeling:
- Build and maintain the Semantic Layer (RPD) and data models within OAC.
- Develop sophisticated dashboards and data visualizations that translate raw data into business stories.
- Configure and manage data security filters to ensure users only see the information they are authorized to access.
Technical Optimization:
- Write and tune advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts to improve data processing speeds.
- Troubleshoot complex integration failures and performance bottlenecks across the OCI stack.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to implement best practices for data warehousing and lakehouse designs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or BI development.
- Tooling: At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically within the Oracle Cloud (OCI) ecosystem.
- Execution-Focused: A proven ability to take a technical requirement and build it from scratch with minimal supervision.
- Detail-Oriented: A strict focus on data validation, documentation, and version control (e.g., Git/Subversion).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OCI GoldenGate for real-time synchronization.
- Understanding of Python for data manipulation or OCI CLI scripting.
- Familiarity with Migrating ODI metadata from on-prem to Cloud.
