Senior Observability Engineer

Job Description: Senior Observability Engineer – Datadog & Splunk

Experience: 5+ Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Observability Engineer with hands-on expertise in Datadog, Splunk, and monitoring solutions to ensure application performance, infrastructure reliability, and production stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage Datadog dashboards, monitors, alerts, APM, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Develop Splunk SPL queries, dashboards, reports, and alerts for log analysis.
• Implement end-to-end observability using metrics, logs, and distributed traces.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, APIs, and Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and support incident management.
• Automate monitoring tasks using Python/Bash and Terraform.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Datadog and Splunk.
• Knowledge of APM, log management, dashboards, alerting, and observability concepts.
• Experience with Linux, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and application monitoring.
• Knowledge of scripting, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Open Telemetry, and Terraform is preferred.
