Job Title: Senior Nutanix Infrastructure Engineer (L3)

Role Overview
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the primary subject matter expert (SME) for our Nutanix environment. Your role focuses on the end-to-end management, architecture, and optimization of Nutanix clusters, while providing high-level support for the Windows Server ecosystem running on top of this infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Nutanix Infrastructure Management (70% Focus)
Cluster Operations: Administer and maintain multi-site Nutanix clusters using Prism Element and Prism Central.
AOS & Hypervisor Management: Perform non-disruptive Nutanix AOS upgrades, AHV/ESXi hypervisor patching, and hardware firmware updates using LCM (Life Cycle Manager).
Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor cluster health, IOPS, and latency; perform root cause analysis (RCA) on performance degradation using Nutanix CLI.
Advanced Features: Manage Nutanix Objects, Files, and Volume Groups to support diverse storage needs.
Data Protection: Design and manage backup/DR strategies using Nutanix Snapshots, Protection Domains, and Sync/Async Replication.
Capacity Planning: Generate utilization reports to forecast growth for storage, CPU, and memory.
Windows & Virtualization Support (30% Focus)
Server Administration: Manage Windows Server lifecycles (2016/2019/2022), including deployments, hardening, and advanced troubleshooting.
Core Services: Support Windows-based network services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO).
Automation: Utilize PowerShell for automating repetitive Nutanix and Windows tasks, such as VM provisioning and report generation.
Patching: Orchestrate monthly Microsoft security patching and vulnerability remediation across the virtual fleet.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 9 years in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years dedicated to Nutanix HCI.
Nutanix Expertise: Deep knowledge of AHV, Nutanix Storage (CVM, Stargate, Curator), and Micro-segmentation (Nutanix Flow).
Hypervisors: Strong hands-on experience with AHV (preferred) or VMware ESXi in a Nutanix environment.
Windows Stack: Advanced proficiency in Windows Failover Clustering and Active Directory.
Certifications (Highly Preferred):
o Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Master (NCM).
o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
