Senior Nutanix Consultant (Storage Specialist)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Nutanix Consultant with proven expertise in end-to-end design and implementation of Nutanix solutions, with strong specialization in storage technologies. The candidate should have a consulting mindset, capable of engaging with enterprise customers, understanding business needs, and delivering scalable and resilient Nutanix solutions that align with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting & Solution Design

Engage with enterprise customers to gather requirements and design end-to end Nutanix HCI and storage solutions.

Develop architecture blueprints, migration roadmaps, and implementation plans tailored to customer environments.

Conduct pre-sales workshops, technical presentations, and solution demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.

Provide capacity planning, sizing, and performance optimization strategies for large-scale deployments.

Implementation & Delivery

Lead end-to-end Nutanix deployments: installation, configuration, cluster build, networking, and storage integration.

Implement and manage Nutanix Storage solutions (Volumes, Files, Objects) for enterprise workloads.

Design and configure Disaster Recovery (DR) and Backup solutions integrated with Nutanix.

Migrate workloads (VMware, Hyper-V, physical servers) to Nutanix using Nutanix Move or Migration Toolkit.

Customer Enablement & Support

Develop and deliver knowledge transfer sessions and runbooks for customer IT teams.

Act as the trusted advisor for Nutanix storage and infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with customer goals.

Provide post-implementation support and optimization recommendations.

Governance & Best Practices

Define and enforce best practices for Nutanix solution deployment (security, scalability, DR, compliance).

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nutanix roadmap, features, and ecosystem integrations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (networking, cloud, virtualization) to deliver holistic solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Nutanix Expertise

610 years of experience in designing and implementing Nutanix Enterprise Cloud solutions.

Strong expertise in Nutanix Storage (Volumes, Files, Objects) and integration with enterprise workloads.

Hands-on experience with AHV, VMware vSphere, and/or Hyper-V hypervisors.

Experience with workload migration tools (Nutanix Move, Migrate-to Nutanix frameworks).

Consulting Competencies

Customer-facing experience in solution design, workshops, and technical presentations.

Proven track record of end-to-end delivery for large-scale Nutanix implementations.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB, FC).

Expertise in backup & DR integration (Rubrik, HYCU, Veeam, Commvault).

Scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).

Preferred Certifications

Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) required.

Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP) or NPX preferred.

VMware VCP or Microsoft Hyper-V certification plus.

Soft Skills

Strong consulting and client engagement skills.

Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as lead technical teams during delivery.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent consulting experience).
