Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NOC, ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of network and system infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and leadership in coordinating incident responses and escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in network, server, and application infrastructure across multiple data centers and cloud environments.
- Respond to and resolve critical alerts, incidents, and outages promptly; perform root cause analysis and preventative actions.
- Act as an escalation point for junior NOC engineers and assist in complex troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and third parties for issue resolution and service improvements.
- Maintain and improve system and network monitoring tools, dashboards, and automated alerting systems.
- Create and maintain documentation including runbooks, incident reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and escalation guides.
- Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of infrastructure projects and maintenance activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring consistent adherence to best practices and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), security policies, and industry regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation and shift coverage, as needed.
Required Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a NOC or technical operations role with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancers)
