Overview
We are seeking a Senior Newsletter Editor to lead the editorial vision, production, and growth of a high-impact HR-focused newsletter with a strong international news orientation. This role is ideal for an experienced editor with a deep background in global journalism who can translate complex labor, workplace, and people-management developments into clear, authoritative, and engaging content for senior HR leaders and decision-makers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Editorial Leadership
- Own the editorial strategy, voice, and standards of the HR newsletter
- Set daily and long-term content priorities aligned with global HR, labor, and workplace trends
- Ensure accuracy, balance, and editorial integrity across all editions
- International News Coverage
- Curate and edit HR-relevant news from multiple regions, including labor law, employment policy, workforce trends, DEI, talent mobility, and workplace culture
- Identify emerging global stories and explain their implications for HR leaders across markets
- Work confidently with international sources, time zones, and diverse regulatory contexts
- Editing & Production
- Edit copy to a high journalistic standard, ensuring clarity, concision, and consistency
- Write and commission original content, headlines, summaries, and analysis
- Oversee newsletter production schedules and ensure on-time delivery
- Audience & Growth Focus
- Shape content to meet the needs of a senior, professional HR audience
- Collaborate with analytics, marketing, and product teams to refine engagement and growth strategies
- Use data and reader feedback to continuously improve content performance
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work closely with reporters, contributors, and external experts
- Mentor junior editors or writers where applicable
- Partner cross-functionally with design, product, and commercial teams
Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years of editorial experience in news, business, or professional publishing
- Proven background in international or global news editing
- Strong understanding of HR, workplace, labor, or employment-related topics (or the ability to master them quickly)
- Exceptional editing, writing, and headline-writing skills
- Ability to synthesize complex international developments into clear, practical insights
- Experience producing newsletters or other audience-driven editorial products
- Strong news judgment and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing or writing for HR, business leadership, or professional audiences
- Familiarity with labor law, employment policy, or workforce trends across multiple regions
- Experience using audience analytics to guide editorial decisions
- Prior leadership or line-management experience.
