Role: Senior NOC Manager (MSP - 24x7 Operations)

Overview:

TheSeniorNOC Manageris responsible for overseeing the24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC)for aManaged Service Provider (MSP)that deliversNOC, SOC, and Helpdesk servicesto multiple clients. This role ensures theavailability, security, and performanceof clients IT infrastructure, which includesvarious OS platforms, cloud services, and networking environments. TheNOC Managerleads a team ofNOC engineers working in rotational shifts, ensuring effectiveremote monitoring, management, and incident response. The role is managed by theSr. NOC Managerand reports to theDirector at the USA Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. NOC Operations & Incident Management

  • Oversee 24x7 NOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
  • Manage and coordinateincident detection, response, and resolutionacross various client environments.
  • Ensure thatescalation proceduresare followed, and major incidents are handled efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze recurring issues and implementproactive measuresto improve system stability.

2. Team Leadership & Shift Management

  • Supervise a team ofNOC engineers working in rotational shifts, ensuring adequate coverage as per the roster.
  • Conductdaily stand-ups, shift handovers, and performance reviewsto ensure smooth operations.
  • Mentor and train NOC engineers ontroubleshooting techniques, best practices, and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with theSr. NOC Managerand HR for hiring, training, and workforce planning.

3. Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM)

  • Ensure that allmonitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting systemsare configured for optimal performance.
  • Overseeremote troubleshooting and resolutionof server, network, and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Work withSOC teamsto monitor security threats and escalate incidents requiring immediate attention.
  • Maintain and improveRMM policies and automation scriptsto enhance operational efficiency.

4. Client Infrastructure Support & Compliance

  • Ensureclients OS platforms, cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP), and network infrastructureare actively monitored and maintained.
  • Oversee systempatching, updates, backups, and compliance checksto meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate withHelpdesk and SOC teamsto ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintaindocumentation, reports, and performance metricsfor client review meetings.

5. Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Develop and refineSOPs, playbooks, and incident response protocolsfor NOC operations.
  • Generateperformance reports, SLA compliance reports, and incident analysisfor leadership and clients.
  • Work with theSr. NOC Managerto enhanceprocess automation, monitoring tools, and ITSM workflows.

6. Collaboration with Global Teams

  • Act as aliaison between the NOC team and the USA headquartersto align operations with business goals.
  • Coordinate withother departments (SOC, Helpdesk, Cloud, Network, and Security teams)for cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Participate inclient meetings, service reviews, and technical discussionsto ensure high service standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • 8+ years of experiencein a NOC/MSP environment, with3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong expertise inWindows/Linux servers, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and networking.
  • Experience withRemote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tools, SIEM, ITSM, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience withincident response, troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure monitoring.
  • Familiarity withsecurity operations, compliance standards, and disaster recovery processes.

Leadership & Communication Skills:

  • Proven experience inleading teams in a 24x7 environmentwith shift-based operations.
  • Strong ability tomanage escalations, coordinate between teams, and ensure high uptime.
  • Excellentanalytical and decision-making skillswith a proactive mindset.
  • Strong documentation skills forcreating SOPs, reports, and client-facing documentation.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ITIL v4 Foundation(or higher)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP(Networking)
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
