Job Description

Summary / Objective

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Meraki switching and Palo Alto firewalls and ION devices. This role partners closely with telecommunications and service providers to deploy, monitor, and support SD‑WAN circuits and related connectivity services. The engineer will design and implement Zero Trust network principles, manage firewall and switch patching, and ensure secure, resilient network operations. The position also supports remote connectivity through GlobalProtect VPN and requires strong troubleshooting skills, vendor coordination, and a focus on security, availability, and performance across a distributed environment

Essential Functions

Implement and support Meraki switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and Palo Alto ION devices.

Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Design, implement, and maintain Zero Trust network architecture and security controls.

Coordinate with telecommunications and service providers to deploy and support SD‑WAN circuits.

Perform regular patching and maintenance of switches, firewalls, and network devices.

Support secure remote access solutions, including Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN.

Additional Duties and Functions as assigned.

Reporting: Would be mentoring team members on need basis, no direct team reporting to this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred: IT‑related field)
  • BE/B Tech/ BCA/MCA Preferred
  • Around 8 -10 Years of strong experience as a Network engineer or architect.
  • Strong proficiency automation scripts and configuration management.
  • Minimum of three years or more experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with high degree of attention and accuracy; problem solver
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models with strong testing, documentation, and change management discipline
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
