About the company for Stolt Nielsen:
Stolt-Nielsen is a family-founded global leader in bulk-liquid and chemical logistics, transportation, and storage, known for its commitment to safety, service excellence, and innovation. At the Stolt-Nielsen Digital Innovation Centre, we bring this legacy into the future — building smarter systems, driving digital transformation, and shaping what's next for the world of logistics. Here, you're encouraged to think boldly, challenge convention, and help move today's products toward tomorrow's possibilities.
About the Role:
As a Sr. Network Administrator, your main responsibility is to ensure the IT network operates seamlessly, efficiently, and securely. Daily, you monitor network traffic, proactively identifying, addressing, and reporting potential issues before they affect performance. When challenges arise, you act promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Your responsibilities extend beyond problem-solving, including the implementation of network updates and configurations to optimize performance and enhance security. You also manage comprehensive network documentation, such as diagrams and guides, which help maintain a well-organised and scalable infrastructure.
A critical aspect of your role is also overseeing the management of Operational Technology (OT) firewalls, fortifying internal systems against cybersecurity threats. You work closely with the business, the Stolt SECOPS team, and external vendors to manage operational tasks and provide insightful reports on network performance and security.
You also take charge of the SD-WAN network, collaborating with the vendor to identify anomalies and areas for improvement. You address these findings through active discussions with internal teams and the vendor, ensuring the stability and reliability of the network.
Every day introduces new challenges, but with each resolved issue and improvement, you contribute to maintaining a solid, stable, and secure IT environment that supports the company's global operations effectively.
As a Senior, you may supervise multiple Network Administrators, instructing them and providing coaching and guidance to help them carry out their daily tasks effectively. As part of the team, you are expected to display proactive and dynamic behavior, setting a positive example and demonstrating a strong sense of ownership for all entrusted tasks.
Improper or ineffective management of the IT network can lead to downtime in critical organizational processes (economic loss and safety issues) and expose the company to security vulnerabilities.
