Job Description

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (L2) | Juniper | Cisco | Wireless Troubleshooting | CCNP

Location: Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 24x7 Rotational Shifts (including night shifts, weekends, and on-call support as per business requirements)

About the Role

The Level 2 Network Engineering team is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of enterprise network infrastructure supporting a global client environment across 450+ locations. As a member of the team, you will have a direct impact on network operations, troubleshooting, infrastructure enhancements, and service reliability.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Routing & Switching, Wireless Troubleshooting, and hands-on exposure to Juniper and Cisco technologies. This role requires direct interaction with international clients, making excellent communication and customer-facing skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support network architecture for a multi-tenant enterprise environment.
  • Manage the lifecycle of network solutions from design through implementation and operational support.
  • Build scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient networking solutions.
  • Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and enterprise networks.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related incidents.
  • Support and maintain routing, switching, wireless, and security infrastructure.
  • Participate in a regular on-call rotation and support critical production environments.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and clients.
  • Manage multiple incidents and service requests while meeting SLAs.
  • Collaborate with project teams on network implementation and migration activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Work effectively across multiple tools and platforms to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Communicate directly with global customers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.

Required Experience & Skills

Mandatory Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer (Level 2).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Routing & Switching.
  • Strong wireless troubleshooting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper networking devices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level or service provider networks.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols including:
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • EIGRP
  • TCP/IP
  • Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless network issues.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, IPSEC, HTTPS, TLS, and network security concepts.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with international clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Juniper Mist.
  • Experience with Cisco WLC.
  • Experience with Ruckus Wireless solutions.
  • Experience with Fortinet technologies.
  • Experience in network automation using Python, Bash, Perl, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of PKI and authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience managing enterprise wireless environments.

Certifications

Required:

  • CCNP Certification

Preferred:

  • JNCIA
  • JNCIS
