Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Charging System Expert with strong hands-on experience in
Nokia Converged Charging (NCC) to manage tariff configuration, bundle creation, functional validation, and integration across Diameter interfaces (Gy, Gx, Sy). The role involves working on
charging and rating configuration,
functional testing,
migration activities, and ensuring smooth deployment on
Kubernetes-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain tariffs, offers, and bundles within the Nokia Converged Charging (NCC) platform.
- Perform tariff modeling and validation, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
- Manage bundle creation and provisioning rules, including RSV (Resource Sharing and Voucher) configuration.
- Conduct functional and integration testing for charging and rating configurations.
- Work on migration activities from legacy charging systems (e.g., CS/OCS) to NCC.
- Troubleshoot and optimize issues related to charging logic, rating errors, and subscriber provisioning.
- Collaborate with BSS, PCRF, and Core teams for integration via Diameter interfaces (Gy, Gx, Sy).
- Support deployment and scalability of NCC on Kubernetes / Containerized environments.
- Prepare and maintain low-level design documents, configuration templates, and test reports.
- Participate in UAT/SIT testing, validation of charging flows, and regression testing post-deployment.
- Engage in continuous improvement of charging workflows and performance tuning of NCC nodes.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Core Expertise: Nokia Converged Charging (NCC) Tariff, Offer, Bundle, and Charging Configuration.
- Integration Protocols: Diameter (Gy, Gx, Sy), REST, SOAP.
- Testing: Functional, Integration, and Regression Testing of Charging Flows.
- Migration: Experience in Charging Data and Offer Migration (legacy to NCC).
- Tools & Platforms:
- Nokia Charging Configurator (NCC tools)
- Charging Control Nodes
- Kubernetes / Docker / Helm
- Linux / Unix environments
- Git / Jenkins (for CI/CD)
- Database Skills: Oracle, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL (preferred).
- Scripting: Python, Shell scripting (for test automation or config validation).
