Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in network design or network test automation.
- 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with identifying network problems, writing documents to describe test plans and procedures, executing and publishing results of test plans or process documentation, and developing and automating networking products.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering best practices and protocols including Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP), Fast Reroute (FRR) and MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) and protocols (e.g., LACP, STP, RSTP, VRRP, UDLD, 802.1x).
- Knowledge of the phases of software test cycle and the types of errors that can be addressed by testing components and products, including the knowledge of differences and considerations for each test phase.

Responsibilities
- Define and describe network problems, write documents to describe test plans and procedures, and execute and publish results of test plans or process documentation for Google-wide use.
- Develop project roadmap, establish project goals, coordinate resources, and provide technical leadership.
- Conduct quantifiable analysis of measurements or data and capacity forecast models for making Google networks more efficient, and deliver predictable user experience. Review test plans, participate in cross-functional reviews which cover test plans and test results.
- Update the operational requirements to adopt new technology into operations with engineers, architecture, and developers. Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and other network and system problems.
