About the Role
Are you a seasoned network engineer who thrives at the intersection of cloud, security, and enterprise infrastructure Cherry Bekaert is looking for a Senior IT Network Engineer to own and drive our enterprise networking stack from Cisco Meraki branch deployments to Zscaler Zero Trust edge security and Azure cloud connectivity.
You will be the go-to expert within our Global Support Services (GSS) team, leading high-impact initiatives including M&A integrations, office buildouts, and cloud network architecture — ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity across our entire enterprise footprint.
What You'll Do
Cloud & Azure Network Architecture
- Design and manage Azure networking environments — VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, private endpoints
- Own Azure Firewall policy design, rule management, and segmentation strategy
- Architect secure hybrid connectivity across corporate, cloud, and acquired environments
- Implement hub-and-spoke and Azure landing zone architectures
Cisco Meraki Ownership (Core Focus)
- Own the full Meraki stack — MX (SD-WAN/Security), MS (Switching), MR (Wireless) — across all offices
- Drive network segmentation, VLAN design, WAN failover policies, and wireless optimization
- Lead Meraki deployments for new offices, acquisitions, and expansions
- Standardize network configs across all locations using Meraki Dashboard
Zscaler & Secure Edge (ZIA / ZPA)
- Lead implementation and ongoing optimization of Zscaler Internet Access and Private Access
- Configure traffic forwarding, inspection policies, and identity-aware access controls
- Integrate Zscaler with Azure AD, endpoint posture controls, and egress strategy
- Drive zero trust application segmentation across the organization
M&A Network Integration
- Lead rapid network integration at acquired sites — deploy Meraki, establish secure connectivity
- Execute complex network cutovers: ISP transitions, SD-WAN migrations, firewall rule alignment
- Identify and mitigate risks across legacy environments and target-state architecture
Incident Response & Tier 3 Support
- Serve as the escalation point for GSS teams and MSP partners on high-impact network issues
- Own resolution of outages spanning Meraki, Azure, and Zscaler environments
What You Bring
- 8–10 years of enterprise network engineering experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, MR) — this is a must
- Strong command of Azure Networking: VNets, routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints
- Proven experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA — design, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of SD-WAN, branch networking, and WAN failover strategies
- Experience with M&A network integration and office infrastructure buildouts
- Working knowledge of zero trust principles and hybrid cloud security
- Excellent cross-functional communication and vendor management skills
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications: CCNP, Meraki ECMS, AZ-700, Zscaler ZCCA/ZCCP
- Experience working with MSP-managed environments
- Familiarity with ITIL-based change management processes
