Role Description
Senior Network Delivery Engineer (LAN, WAN & Wireless – India)
Role Summary - The Senior Network Delivery Engineer will be part of a global infrastructure delivery organization responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering enterprise-grade network solutions across LAN & Wireless.
This role is delivery‑focused, requiring strong hands‑on engineering capability, customer interaction skills, and the ability to execute complex network projects aligned with global standards. The engineer will work closely with architecture, security, operations, and vendors to ensure high‑quality, scalable, and secure network deployments.
This position is based in India (Bengaluru) and supports global business units across regions.
Our Team - The US based multi nahitonal Infrastructure team provides reliable, flexible, and secure connectivity solutions that enable business solutions and perpetual transformation. We manage network and network security infrastructure, including wide area networking, local area networking, wireless, firewalls, datacentre networking, load balancing, endpoint security, and proxies. We provide enterprise infrastructure monitoring for IT components across the enterprise. We are currently focused on the following transformation strategies: talent, proactive management, process optimization and automation, security by design, and adopting a service focused organization.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Delivery
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise network projects covering LAN, Wireless, and SD‑WAN technologies.
- Perform network scoping, solution design, and implementation aligned with approved architecture standards.
- Create and review HLDs, LLDs, BOMs & Runbooks, implementation plans, and handover documentation.
- Drive Network Refresh, EOL/EOS remediation, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, resiliency, standard and security requirements.
LAN & Wireless Engineering
- Deliver enterprise campus LAN solutions using Cisco (Catalyst or Meraki) switching platforms.
- Design and implement Enterprise wireless networks including Wi‑Fi 5/6/6E, high‑density environments, and site readiness.
- Working knowledge with NAC solutions (Cisco ISE) for wired and wireless access control.
- Support wired/wireless troubleshooting during deployment and stabilization phases.
SD‑WAN & Secure Connectivity (Good to have/Working knowledge)
- Design and implement SD‑WAN solutions.
- Collaborate with security teams on secure connectivity patterns, firewall integration, and segmentation.
Automation & Quality Improvement
- Contribute to network automation and standardization efforts (Ansible, templates, APIs, or vendor tools).
- Identify delivery inefficiencies and drive process, quality, and documentation improvements.
- Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and peer mentoring.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
- Work directly with internal customers, project managers, and global stakeholders.
- Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, and system integrators for implementation and issue resolution.
- Provide clear communication on project status, risks, and dependencies.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 8 – 14+ years of experience in enterprise networking with strong delivery/project execution exposure.
- Hands‑on experience with LAN and Wireless in large enterprise or global environments.
- Proven experience delivering complex network projects end‑to‑end.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Routing and Switching (OSPF, BGP preferred; QoS fundamentals).
- Understanding on implementing a strong Wireless Network
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE, enterprise switches, and routers.
- Working knowledge with SD‑WAN technologies (Cisco SD‑WAN, Meraki, Fortinet, Versa, etc.).
- Working knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto or Fortinet preferred).
- Experience with Cisco ISE / NAC for wired and wireless access.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and observability tools.
- Exposure to cloud networking concepts (Azure/AWS connectivity).
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills for global collaboration.
- Site Survey (Predictive)
- Ability to own delivery outcomes, not just execute tasks.
- Mentoring mindset for junior engineers.
- Comfortable working in overlapping global time zones when required.
What Will Put You Ahead (Nice to Have – Not Mandatory)
- Certifications: CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Cisco SD‑WAN Specialist
- Exposure to network automation (Python, Ansible, DevNet concepts).
- Experience with OT / Industrial / Process Control Networks (PCN).

- Experience working in global delivery or follow‑the‑sun models.
