Senior .NET Developer – Bloomberg API Integration Specialist

Shift :- 2 PM IST to 11 PM IST

This position would be needed in India, specifically in Hyderabad, with PST availability/crossover until about noon.

Seeking an experienced Senior Backend Consultant to lead the design, development, and implementation of the backend architecture for our new Credit Screener application. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in .NET Core/C# development, Bloomberg API integration, and cloud-based architecture, particularly with Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our technology and investment teams to ensure the application meets all performance, compliance, and business requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design and develop the backend architecture for the Credit Screener application.

- Lead the integration of the application with Bloomberg API, ensuring compliance with Bloomberg's technical specifications.

- Define and implement secure, scalable API integrations and optimize data flow between Bloomberg and internal systems.

- Collaborate with Oaktree's technology and investment teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Ensure the application meets performance, compliance, and business requirements.

- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and encryption practices for API-based data exchange.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for real-time or batch data flows.

- Utilize Azure-based databases and services, including Azure App Services/Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory.

- Optimize data modeling, caching, and performance for high-volume financial data.

- Lead DevOps and CI/CD automation efforts using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

- Document and communicate technical designs and solutions effectively.

**Experience and Skills Required:**

- 8+ years of professional software development experience.

- At least 5 years of experience in .NET Core/C# application design and development.

- Proven experience with Bloomberg API integration (Desktop, SAPI, or B-PIPE), including understanding of Bloomberg data licensing, entitlements, and compliance requirements.

- Strong background in cloud-based architecture, preferably with Microsoft Azure.

- Experience with Azure App Services/Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory integration.

- Familiarity with Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, or Data Factory for data pipelines.

- Demonstrated experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Deep understanding of data modeling, caching, and performance optimization for financial data.

- Experience implementing secure authentication, authorization, and encryption practices.

- Familiarity with financial markets data, particularly fixed income or credit instruments, preferred.

- Strong skills in DevOps and CI/CD automation.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

- Experience with Bloomberg data license (Bloomberg DL) strongly preferred.

- Previous experience in capital markets is critical.

**Education:**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
