- Client Location Experience Notice Period S Boss – SBI Subsidiary Mahape, Navi Mumbai 5+ Years Candidates available to join within 30 days preferred Employment Type Primary Technology Role Overview Full-time MySQL / MariaDB We are looking for an experienced Senior MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in MySQL/MariaDB database administration, security, high availability, replication, backup and recovery, and performance tuning. The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing MySQL/MariaDB databases while ensuring high availability and business continuity. Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain MySQL/MariaDB databases in production environments. • Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and hardening. • Implement and manage database security and access controls. • Handle backup and restore activities, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR). • Manage High Availability and database replication, including Master-Slave Replication, Group Replication, and Galera Cluster. • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and database recovery procedures. • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and availability. • Perform performance tuning and query optimization. • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries. • Use Bash scripting for database administration and automation. • Perform troubleshooting using Linux commands. • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve database-related issues. • Provide analytical troubleshooting and support for critical production issues. Mandatory Skills • 5+ years of experience in MySQL/MariaDB Database Administration. • Strong hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB. • Database security, patching, installation, configuration, and hardening. • Experience with upgrades, backup & restore, and PITR. • Strong understanding of High Availability and Replication. • Hands-on knowledge of Master-Slave Replication, Group Replication, and/or Galera Cluster. • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery concepts and implementation. • Strong performance tuning and query optimization skills. • Proficiency in SQL queries. • Good knowledge of Bash scripting. • Strong Linux troubleshooting and command-line skills. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and coordination skills. Educational Qualifications • B.Sc. (IT/CS) • BCA • B.E./B.Tech • M.E./M.Tech • MCA • M.Sc. (IT/CS/Software Systems) Preferred Certifications • Oracle Certified Professional / relevant Oracle certification • MySQL 8.0 Database Administrator • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database / Relational Databases-related certification Must-Have Skills for Screening MySQL/MariaDB DBA + 5+ years + Replication + High Availability + Backup/Restore + PITR + Performance Tuning + SQL + Linux + Bash Scripting + Disaster Recover
