Power the Future of SaaS Delivery & Why This Role Matters
We are looking for a
Senior Motion Designer & Video Editor who is equal parts visual artist and strategic thinker. This is not a production-only role — it demands someone who can lead creative narratives from concept to final cut, build motion systems that scale across brand touchpoints, and own the visual language of complex enterprise storytelling.
You will be embedded in a fast-moving marketing team, collaborating with brand, demand generation, events, and content functions to produce world-class motion content — from social reels and product explainers to brand films and executive keynote sequences. If you obsess over frame-perfect transitions, live for the craft of motion, and thrive under real deadlines, this role is built for you..
How You'll Make An Impact
Motion Design & Animation
- Concept, design, and animate high-quality motion graphics for brand films, product walkthroughs, social media content, digital ads, and event productions.
- Build and maintain modular motion systems and animated templates that enable faster turnaround without sacrificing quality.
- Design title sequences, lower thirds, kinetic typography, logo animations, and UI/UX motion flows that elevate brand perception.
- Develop explainer videos and animated storytelling content that translate complex B2B concepts into compelling visuals.
Video Editing & Post-Production
- End-to-end video editing — from rough assembly through colour grade, audio mix, and final export — across multiple formats and aspect ratios.
- Edit interview-driven, narrative, and documentary-style brand content with strong editorial instincts and pacing judgment.
- Manage the post-production pipeline: ingestion, proxy workflows, version control, and final delivery to platform specifications (YouTube, LinkedIn, web, broadcast).
- Collaborate with external videographers, directors, and production houses to maintain creative continuity from shoot through to delivery.
Brand & Visual Storytelling
- Act as a visual storytelling partner to the Brand and Content teams — translating briefs into emotionally resonant, strategically aligned creative output.
- Ensure rigorous brand consistency across all motion and video assets; maintain and evolve the motion design system and brand language.
- Contribute to the creative direction of campaigns, offering visual ideas that push boundaries while staying on-strategy.
Social & Digital Content Production
- Produce platform-optimised short-form content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube — including shorts, stories, carousels with animation, and ads.
- Adapt long-form content into snappy, high-engagement social cuts with a strong understanding of platform-native formats and audience behaviour.
- Support performance marketing with animated digital ads, HTML5 banner concepts, and motion-led landing page assets.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with marketing leads, product managers, and executive stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into compelling creative.
- Present creative concepts, storyboards, and edit reviews to internal stakeholders — articulating design decisions confidently and incorporating structured feedback.
- Brief and manage freelance animators, video editors, and voice-over artists when required; provide clear direction and quality control throughout.
Project & Workflow Management
- Independently manage multiple concurrent projects across varying complexity levels, consistently meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Maintain organised asset libraries, project folders, and archiving protocols for long-term team efficiency.
- Champion efficient creative workflows — from brief intake and storyboarding through to review cycles and final delivery.
Skills & Experience You Bring To The Table
- 6–10 years of professional experience in motion design and/or video editing, with a portfolio that demonstrates both executional excellence and conceptual thinking.
- Advanced proficiency in After Effects — expressions, shape layers, 3D camera work, and advanced compositing are non-negotiable.
- Expert-level video editing skills in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, including colour correction, audio balancing, and multi-cam editing.
- Deep understanding of motion principles: timing, easing, anticipation, follow-through, and visual hierarchy in animated sequences.
- Ability to independently manage the full production lifecycle — from creative brief and storyboard through to post-production and platform delivery.
- Strong grasp of typography, composition, colour theory, and design systems as applied to motion and video contexts.
- Experience producing content across multiple formats: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and other platform-native ratios.
- Demonstrated experience working within fast-paced agency or in-house creative environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Motion Design, Film, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with 3D motion design using Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent — motion paths, 3D text, product renders.
- Familiarity with AI-powered video generation and enhancement tools (Runway ML, Pika, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs) and a clear-eyed perspective on how to integrate them responsibly.
- Experience designing and producing executive keynote sequences, event stage content, or tradeshow video loops.
- Demonstrated experience producing brand films, customer testimonial videos, or documentary-style case study content.
- Knowledge of basic audio editing, sound design, and music selection to enhance video storytelling.
- Exposure to Lottie / Rive workflows for web-optimised animation delivery.
- Experience working with or briefing external production agencies and freelance creatives.
