Key Responsibilities:
1. Microsoft 365 Architecture & Deployment
Design and deploy modern workplace solutions using Microsoft 365 services: SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
Architect and implement Zero Trust security models in line with industry best practices.
Build scalable and efficient workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
2. Migration & Modernization
Lead end-to-end migration projects from legacy systems or third-party platforms to Microsoft 365.
Conduct readiness assessments, plan migration waves, and manage coexistence strategies.
Optimize post-migration environments for user experience, adoption, and cost-efficiency.
3. Security, Compliance & Governance
Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 security solutions: Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure AD Conditional Access, and Compliance Manager.
Establish governance frameworks, policies, and controls to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
Respond to and investigate security incidents in collaboration with IT security teams.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues and project challenges.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and training to client stakeholders.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and governance documentation.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay current with the Microsoft 365 roadmap, preview features, and security advancements.
Evaluate and prototype new Microsoft capabilities to enhance collaboration, automation, or compliance.
Document architectural designs, configurations, and knowledge bases for reuse and scale.
Required Experience:
8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments, with specialization in Microsoft 365.
Strong architectural knowledge of SharePoint Online (site collections, permissions, hubs).
Proven track record in Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and hybrid environment modernization.
Deep knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
Strong command of Microsoft Security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Conditional Access, Endpoint Manager).
Skills & Technical Expertise:
1. Microsoft 365 Platform & Administration:
Advanced administration of Microsoft 365 services: SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
In-depth experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and directory synchronization.
2. Security, Compliance & Zero Trust
Deployment of Zero Trust frameworks including Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection.
Implementation of Microsoft Purview, DLP, sensitivity labels, and data retention policies.
Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR stack and Microsoft Sentinel.
3. Automation & Integration
PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 automation and reporting.
Development using Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps, and Graph API for workflow and process automation.
Integration with Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and third-party APIs.
4. Migration & Coexistence
Migration planning and execution using ShareGate, BitTitan, Quest, or native Microsoft tools.
Hybrid Exchange and legacy file share migration experience.
5. Monitoring & Analytics
Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, KQL queries, audit logs, and advanced hunting.
Use of Power BI for reporting and dashboarding Microsoft 365 activity.
6. User Experience & Adoption
End-user enablement and adoption strategy using Microsoft Viva and Microsoft 365 Learning Pathways.
Change management and communication planning for smooth transitions.
7. Cross-Platform & Hybrid Integration
Hybrid identity management (on-prem AD with Azure AD Connect).
Integration with MDM/EMM tools (e.g., Intune), third-party CASBs, and endpoint security platforms.
8. Project & Stakeholder Management
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with ITIL-based service models.
Proven ability to lead client workshops, run design sessions, and drive technical consensus. |
