Senior Merchandiser ( Apparel ) — Daks India Industries Pvt. Ltd.

Job Description: This isn't a manage the spreadsheet job. This is own-the-business territory.

We're looking for someone who's done this long enough to know that merchandising isn't just placing orders , it's the thread connecting design, sourcing, costing, and the container leaving the port on time. Someone who's sat in enough rooms to know when a costing sheet is lying to you, and when a small design change is about to blow up a shipping timeline.

You'll lead a team of 5–10, own the process from design through shipping, and carry real weight we're talking a business worth ₹25 Cr on your watch. This role touches everything: product development, sourcing, costing/pricing, merchandising, and even pushing into new business and marketing where it counts.

If you've spent 8–10 years figuring out how garments and products actually move from concept to shelf and you understand the markets and sourcing landscape well enough to make fast, sharp calls , we want to talk.

What you bring:

1. Graduate / technical qualification from a Fashion or Textile Institute (preferred)
2. 8–10 years of experience in garments/product, sourcing, and merchandising
3. Proven experience leading teams (5–10 members)
4. End-to-end ownership: design → shipping
5. Strong grip on costing, pricing, and sourcing strategy
6. A track record of developing new business, not just maintaining old accounts
