Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze medical records specific to cardiology services to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes.

Ensure coding compliance with federal regulations, payer policies, and company procedures. Query physicians for additional documentation when needed for accurate coding.

Work closely with other coding professionals, billing teams, and compliance officers.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on coding updates and cardiology procedures.

Contribute to quality improvement and coding accuracy initiatives.

Qualifications:

AAPC Certification (e.g., CPC Certified Professional Coder) is mandatory.

Minimum 23 years of experience in coding, with a focus on cardiology coding.

Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to cardiology.

Experience with EHR systems and medical billing software is preferred.
