Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) based in Mumbai, India to join one of Insight Global's largest hyperscaler clients. This role centres on the front end planning on future data centres sites in the APAC region. The Project Engineer (Mechanical) will be the onsite advisor for our client and understand key needs of the project, their vendors and partners for the program. You will be responsible for reviewing submittals, electrical drawings and checking for any issues in the site. Moreover, pivotal for making sure the quality of work is up to our clients standards. The role requires coordination across CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) disciplines, integrating key infrastructure components. Strong stakeholder management and vendor relationship management are crucial to the role.

Must Haves:

• 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering building services, or electrical infrastructure
• Experience overseeing international projects
• Experience designing data centres, specifically hyperscalers
• High-level understanding of mechanical systems and previous commissioning experience
• Very comfortable reviewing and reading mechanical schematics and drawings
• Experience interacting with A&E teams and technical leads
• Familiarity with MEP systems and CSA coordination
• Prior experience working in the construction industry or on active construction sites
• Attention to detail and proactive communication style
